About us

ZENIT GmbH, founded in 1984, is a public-private partnership with around 60 employees and the agency for innovation and European affairs of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

We pave the way and help you gain a foothold in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), one of Europe’s leading regions. As a competent partner in a number of European support networks, helping local organisations enter markets abroad and assisting their foreign counterparts in NRW is our business. We are your best port of call for all transnational activities. ZENIT is owned by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, a consortium of banks and an association comprising some 210 enterprises. On behalf of EU, national and regional bodies, we provide services for the benefit of companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as universities and research institutions. Our clients come from NRW, throughout Germany and abroad.

How to find us:

Arriving by car

From Dortmund/Essen:
Leave the A40 at the Mülheim-Zentrum/Heißen-Kirche exit and continue on the B1 in the direction of Düsseldorf (about 4 km). Approximately 150 m after the ARAL petrol station on the left, leave the B1 (which veers left here) and continue straight on into Bismarckstraße. ZENIT is located on the left after about three hundred metres. Parking spaces are available in the streets on the opposite side of the road and around the sports field.

From Cologne/Düsseldorf:
Follow the A3/A52 to the Breitscheid junction. If coming from Cologne, change onto the A52 towards Essen. Take the exit in the direction of „Rat.-Breitscheid/Mülheim an der Ruhr“ which leads immediately off this junction. Turn left at the traffic lights in the direction of Mülheim. Follow the B1 for about 7 km in the direction of Mülheim/Essen until you cross the River Ruhr. Turn left after about 1 km into Bismarckstraße. ZENIT is located on the left after about three hundred metres. Parking spaces are available in the streets on the opposite side of the road and around the sports field.

Arriving by public transportation

From Mülheim main station take the low-floor bus 130 (direction Mülheim Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum) to the stop „Max-Planck-Institute“. Only a few meters away you will find the company headquarters of ZENIT GmbH.

Alternatively, you can take the low-floor bus 151 (direction Essen Kettwiger Markt) from Mülheim main station to the stop „Floraweg“. Here the path runs (sportily) uphill and then turns right into Bismarckstraße. After a few meters you will reach the company headquarters on the right side.

Walking from Central Railway Station (about 25 minutes)

Leave Mülheim Central Railway Station and walk through the adjacent shopping centre („Forum“) in the direction of Kaiserstraße. Continue along Kaiserstraße until you reach a small park on the right. Walk through the park and you will reach a street called Kluse. Follow this street, turn left into Lembkestraße, where the Max Planck Institute is situated. Follow the street until you reach Bismarckstraße. Turn right into Bismarckstraße where ZENIT is located a few metres away.

Arriving by plane

From Düsseldorf Airport take the train to Mülheim Central Railway Station or the S1 „S Bahn“ train in the direction of Dortmund to Mülheim Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof Hbf). Continue from Mülheim Central Railway Station as described above.
