Bilateral German-Italian Workshop
on Innovation
and Third Meeting of Osservatorio Innovazione e Credito of the Milan
Chamber of Commerce
Friday, 25.09.2009
In the last week of September, Milan hosted not only the Fashion
Week but also a Bilateral German-Italian Workshop on Innovation,
staged on 25th September by ZENIT GmbH, the Institut zur Erforschung
Wirtschaftlichen Verhaltens e.V., and the Camera di Commercio di
Milano. The two countries already enjoy a close and successful working
relationship, for example within the Enterprise Europe Network,
and this co-operation formed the ideal backdrop for the workshop,
which comprised a series of keynote speeches from leading lights
in the German and Italian innovation landscape, including university
professors, bankers and business consultants, and a roundtable discussion
on innovation. The participants joined forces to sketch present
and future scenarios and to exchange best practice examples. A particular
highlight was the linking of the event to a meeting of the Osservatorio
Innovazione e Credito of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, a permanent
committee of some 30 members who keep their finger on the pulse
of innovation and finance, and are thus best positioned to forecast
needs and trends in the local economy.
